INGREDIENTS
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 orange
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions
- ½ oz cooking spray

- 1 knife
- 1 zester
- 1 squeezer
- 1 metal dish
- 1 microwave
- 1 oven
- 1 spoon
- 1 bowl
STEPS
Peel sweet potatoes.
Cut the peeled sweet potatoes into 1 inch thick slices.
Zest the orange.
Squeeze zested orange.
Chop green onions.
Spray a metal dish with cooking spray and layer it with sliced sweet potatoes.
Combine butter, 1 tbsp of orange zest, orange juice, brown sugar, ground ginger, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Microwave it on low heat for 1 minute to get a melted butter mixture.
Pour melted butter mixture over the sweet potatoes in the metal dish.
Preheat the oven to 375°F for 12-15 minutes.
Put the metal dish in the oven and bake for 45 minutes to get baked sweet potatoes.
Sprinkle green onions over the baked sweet potatoes with orange glaze.
