INGREDIENTS
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 lb red cabbages
- 4 onions
- 4 apples
- ⅓ cup cranberries
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground cloves
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 oz butter

STEPS
Wash the red cabbages and discard any outer leaves that are not fresh. Cut lengthwise into quarters and trim the core. Then finely shred the red cabbage quarters. Halve and deseed the apples, then cut them into wedges. Peel and chop the onions and garlic.
Put the shredded cabbage in a casserole pot. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Then add the apple wedges, chopped onions, chopped garlic, cranberries, butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves. Drizzle with the red wine vinegar and stir with a wooden spoon. Cover with a lid and heat over low heat for 3 hours. Then remove from the heat and remove the lid. Stir again with a wooden spoon and transfer to a plate.
