INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1½ lb turnips
- ¼ nutmeg
- 1 oz Parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lime
TOOLS
- 1 knife
- 1 baking sheet
- 1 squeezer
- 1 grater
- 1 bowl
- 1 oven
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 platter
STEPS
Trim turnips and cut them into sticks.
Grate parmesan cheese with a grater.
Transfer the grated parmesan cheese to a bowl.
Grate nutmeg with a grater.
Transfer ground nutmeg to a bowl.
Squeeze limes with a squeezer.
Preheat the oven to 425°F for 12-15 minutes.
Grease a baking sheet with 1 tbsp of olive oil.
Sprinkle 1 tsp of black pepper to turnip sticks in a bowl.
Transfer the coated sticks to a baking sheet and drizzle 2 tbsp of olive oil over them.
Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Take it out, stir with a wooden spoon, and put it back in the oven for 20 minutes.
Turn off the heat and take the baking sheet out of the oven. Transfer the peppery turnip fries to a platter and drizzle with lime juice.
It’s ready to be served !
