INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup shortening
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp oranges
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 serving plate
STEPS
Zest orange with a zester.
Crack an egg in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer. Add in shortening, cream cheese, granulated sugar, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix for 3 minutes, then add all-purpose flour, salt, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir with a wooden spoon to get a cookie mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350°F for 12-15 minutes.
Divide the cookie mixture to the cookie sheet evenly. Put the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Take the baking sheet out of the oven and serve orange cream cheese cookies to a serving plate.
