INGREDIENTS
- 2.2 lbs mangos
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2.6 cups vinegar
- 1 piece ginger
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 cup raisins
TOOLS
- 1 peeler
- 1 knife
- 1 pan
- 1 spoon
- 1 food processor
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 sterilized jar
- 1 lid
STEPS
Peel ginger using a peeler.
Peel garlic.
Peel mangos using a peeler.
Cut the mangos in half.
Pit the mangos using a spoon.
Chop the mangos into small pieces.
Put granulated sugar in a pan and heat it until it melts. Add 0.1 cups of vinegar and cook for 10 minutes to get a sugar mixture.
Put 2.5 cups of vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a food processor. Blitz the mixture to get a ginger paste.
Transfer ginger paste to the sugar mixture and stir with a wooden spoon. Cook the mixture for 10 minutes. Next, add chili powder, mustard seeds, raisins, and mango pieces to the pan. Stir it all together and cook for 25 minutes. Turn off the heat to get a chutney.
Transfer the chutney to a sterilized jar and cover it with a lid.
It’s ready to be served !
