INGREDIENTS
- ¼ tsp salt
- 4 plantains
- An eighth cup vegetable oil
TOOLS
- 1 knife
- 1 frying pan
- 1 plate
- 1 fish slice
- 1 slotted spoon
- 1 kitchen paper
- 2 waxed paper
STEPS
Peel and slice plantains.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan for 30 seconds. Add half the plantain slices in a single layer. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip the slices over and cook for another 4 minutes until golden brown.
Transfer the fried plantain to a plate. Lay one piece of waxed paper on top of the plantain and press down for 2 minutes to flatten it out.
Transfer the rest of the plantain to the frying pan and cook for 4 minutes.
Flip the plantain with a fish slice.
Cook for 4 minutes and turn off the heat to get fried plantain. Transfer the fried plantain to a plate and again lay one piece of waxed paper on top of the plantain and press down for 2 minutes to flatten it out.
Transfer the fried plantains to a slotted spoon over a kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with a quarter tsp of salt.
