INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 2 cups coconut milk
- ½ cup coconuts
- 1 half inch ginger
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¼ pack cilantro
TOOLS
- 1 grater
- 1 knife
- 1 toaster oven
- 1 toaster tray
- 1 fork
- 1 pot
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 lid
- 1 serving plate
STEPS
Chop cilantro.
Shred coconuts with a grater.
Peel ginger.
Preheat the toaster oven to 300ºF for 12-15 minutes.
Transfer grated coconuts to a toaster tray and put it in the toaster oven for 4 minutes.
Take out the grated coconuts from the toaster oven when lightly toasted.
Heat a pot on high temperature. Add coconut milk, long grain rice, ginger, and salt to the pot. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes. Cover the pot with a lid and cook for 20 minutes on low heat to get cooked rice. Turn off the heat and remove the lid, then discard the ginger.
Stir cooked rice with a fork to get fluffed rice.
Transfer fluffed rice to a serving plate topped with toasted coconuts and cilantro.
