INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp salt
- 16 oz peas
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp tarragon
- 1 half lemon
TOOLS
- 1 zester
- 1 squeezer
- 1 knife
- 1 saucepan
- 1 colander
- 1 spoon
STEPS
Chop tarragon.
Zest lemon with a zester.
Squeeze zested lemon with a squeezer.
Heat a saucepan, add peas, granulated sugar, and salt. Add 3 cups of water and mix with a spoon. Cook for 6 minutes and turn off the heat. Drain cooked peas in a colander, then return drained peas back in the saucepan. Add butter, tarragon, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir the mixture to get peas with lemon and tarragon.
