INGREDIENTS
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 cups raisin bran cereals
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- ½ cup applesauce
- 1 egg
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter

STEPS
Microwave butter in a bowl on low heat for 1 minute.
Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and raisin bran cereals in a large bowl. Add low-fat milk and whisk to get a milk-flour mixture.
Crack an egg in a bowl and beat slightly. Add melted butter, applesauce, and brown sugar to the bowl. Whisk to get an egg mixture.
Transfer the egg mixture to the milk-flour mixture and whisk to form a batter.
Preheat the oven to 400˚F for 12-15 minutes.
Place paper liners in a muffin tin. Pour batter in the muffin tin 2/3 full and put it in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes to get apple sauce and raisin bran muffins.
