INGREDIENTS
- 2 butternut squash
- 5 tbsp butter
- 5 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- a quarter tsp black pepper
TOOLS
- 1 saucepan
- 1 knife
- 1 oven
- 1 baking sheet
- 1 spoon
- 1 bowl
- 1 mixing whisk
- 1 serving plate
STEPS
Melt butter in a saucepan.
Preheat the oven to 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
Place a baking sheet in the oven.
Cut butternut squash in half lengthwise.
Remove the seeds from the halved butternut squash.
Put halved butternut squash on the baking sheet (cut side down) and return it to the oven for 50 minutes.
Flip the baked butternut squash with a spoon (cut side up).
Put the baking sheet back in the oven and broil for 5 minutes to get grilled halves of butternut squash.
Combine the melted butter with brown sugar in a bowl with a mixing whisk to get a butter mixture.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
Spread the butter mixture over the butternut squash, then sprinkle salt and black pepper over them.
Put the baking sheet in the oven and broil for 3 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
Transfer the sugar glazed winter squash to a serving plate.
